Politonus III (Ear Training) 3.2.1

Politonus III provides a structured approach to enhancing one’s ability to recognize and identify scales and modes from essential source scales: Ionian (Major), Melodic Minor, and Harmonic Minor.

Utilizing machine learning technology, the app generates exercises tailored to your progress. It offers a series of "reverse ear training" tasks where users are challenged to manipulate the music being played into the designated scale. Each interactive half moon represents a degree in the scale; tapping on a moon toggles between two states, altering that degree by a half-step. The number of moons varies from one to three depending on the user's proficiency level.

Importantly, users are not informed about which degree each moon corresponds to or which state results in a higher or lower pitch, necessitating the use of auditory skills to discern these nuances.

The app encompasses a variety of scales and modes, including:

• Ionian (Major) and its modes: Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aeolian, Locrian
• Melodic Minor and its modes: Dorian b2, Lydian #5, Lydian b7, Mixolydian b13, Locrian n9, Altered
• Harmonic Minor and its modes: Locrian n13, Ionian #5, Dorian #4, Mixolydian b9 b13, Lydian #9, Altered Dominant o7
